Yesterday was so sunny and nice so we decided to walk down to Battery Park (5.7 km walk for us one way!) for some lunch. We had seen a Shake Shack there a few weeks ago and thought it would be interesting to see what all the fuzz was about.

Every time I pass a Shake Shack the line is ridiculous. How can the burgers be so good that people stand in line and wait 30 minutes for a fast food burger? At the Battery Park one there was a line but much shorter than the one up at us.

We waited about 10-15 minutes in line before we could order. Than another 10-15 minutes to get our food. We got to check out the menu for a very long time and I loved the fact that they had dog snacks on it!

We got our food and walked down to the water to enjoy the sunny 71 degree weather. I'm loving nyc in march right now.

Ok people, it looks disgusting. Next time I'll probably skip the cheese. Seb thought it was the best fast food fries he'd ever had. Remember that we are comparing to other fast food chains, you can compete with a pub/restaurant burger.

Shake Shack burger. Delicious, you can actually taste the meat form the patty.

A strawberry shake with that. We went all in.

Our view from the park bench. Tourists. Notice the nice health-freak-chlorophyll smoothie water.

And Statue of Liberty in far distance.
